Wedding photography isn’t just a purchase, it is an investment, yet you may be asking why is it so expensive, we share what you are paying for and why it is so important.
THE BENEFITS OF HIRING A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
We have 6 important reasons why you Should Hire a Professional Wedding Photographer, so make sure you do and understand the value of photography.
1. THERE IS MORE TO PHOTOGRAPHY THAN AN EXPENSIVE CAMERA
Just as an artist wields a brush, a carpenter employs a hammer, and a writer utilizes a pen, these tools are merely instruments; it is the individual's proficiency in their usage that yields remarkable creations. Similarly, possessing all the necessary materials, tools, and resources to construct a house does not automatically instill trust in a part-time builder with limited experience. Most people would likely seek a builder with extensive experience and a track record of satisfied customers for such a crucial task.
When it comes to photography, it's not just about having the right camera equipment. What you truly desire is a photographer who understands how to navigate various lighting conditions, capture diverse shots, and skillfully compose images through years of practical experience. The camera itself does not accomplish these feats; it is the photographer who has honed their expertise over time with countless hours of shooting. This dedication results in consistency, providing not just a couple of stunning photos but an entire album of them.
Taking the photos is just the beginning; the subsequent processes of editing, refining, and creating a cohesive album contribute significantly to the final outcome. Photography encompasses more than just owning a camera; it involves a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge beyond the mere tool itself.
2. A PROFESSIONAL WORKS FOR YOU.
A seasoned professional photographer brings years of experience to wedding photography, possessing an innate understanding of the essential shots and the perfect timing for each. Entrusting them with their role instills confidence that they will be precisely where needed, allowing you to focus on other aspects of your special day.
Beyond capturing specific moments, a skilled photographer anticipates the unfolding events. They comprehend the natural flow of the day, having pre-planned ideal settings for endearing bride and groom shots. Their familiarity with the wedding venue enables them to select the perfect locations, such as a picturesque backdrop in the church. Unlike a staged photo shoot, your wedding day is a dynamic event with a singular opportunity to seize those irreplaceable moments.
3. FEELING AT EASE
This ability to put you at ease stems from the photographer's experience and your trust in them. When you feel relaxed, it reflects in your photos, resulting in a more enjoyable experience. It allows you to have fun, be comfortable, and eliminates worries or stress. The process becomes akin to capturing moments with friends – free from pressure, characterized by relaxed fun, and yielding beautifully natural photos.
4. WHAT IF…
Contingencies are crucial in the unpredictable realm of weddings. What if the photographer falls ill or an emergency arises? What if their computer hard drive fails? The worst-case scenario entails having no documentation of your significant day. A professional photographer is well-prepared for such uncertainties; they have a comprehensive plan B in place.
Professional photographers establish a network of reliable contacts and maintain meticulous backup systems. They understand the importance of safeguarding the memories of your special day. In contrast, an amateur may lack the foresight or resources for a robust backup plan, potentially jeopardizing the preservation of precious moments. The stakes are higher for a professional photographer, as their reputation is on the line, emphasizing their commitment to delivering a flawless and secure service.
5. IT’S ALL YOU HAVE AT THE END
After the wedding festivities conclude, the anticipation of reliving the magical day through your wedding photos sets in. It's a chance to rediscover moments you might have missed, expressions captured in photos, and scenes with your guests that may have escaped your attention. As the excitement builds, the photos become cherished treasures, shared with friends, family, and future generations.
In the aftermath of the big day, memories fade, but the photographs endure as tangible reminders. They encapsulate the essence of the occasion, allowing you to share the joy with others. Investing in a professional wedding photographer isn't merely a cost; it's a strategic investment in preserving the positive memories that will last a lifetime.
Consider that after the wedding, the dress is stowed away, the cake consumed, flowers wither, decorations sold, and balloons popped. This stark reality underscores the significance of hiring a professional wedding photographer as an enduring investment. While the immediate impact may not be apparent on the wedding day, the true value becomes evident when you return from your honeymoon and immerse yourself in the visual narrative of your wedding photos and album, affirming the wisdom of choosing professional photography for lasting and meaningful memories.
6. YOU ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE
Your wedding day is a singular, special occasion, and you have only one chance to capture its essence. It's paramount to entrust and have confidence in your chosen photographer. The wedding industry is dynamic and competitive, especially in wedding photography, offering a plethora of choices in styles, prices, packages, and individuals.
Once you've defined your preferred style and established your budget, you can narrow down the options to shortlist photographers who align with your vision. While it's tempting to cut corners on certain aspects, such as the cake, to save money, the impact is fleeting, and memories are easily forgotten. However, with wedding photos, you're creating a visual narrative that encapsulates the beauty and emotions of your day—memories that will last a lifetime. Therefore, investing in a professional wedding photographer ensures that you preserve these timeless moments with confidence and trust in their expertise.
We like to have fun.. Ok we like to edit, why not that's what computers can do.
we took this one at Channels in Essex wedding venue just before.
We all would like the photos outside, if it is cold or even freezing temp's, we work as quick as we can to get the shot and I will offer my coat to the bride.
I do like to like after my brides as shoulders are normally on show and i can get gold in our winter time.

Feel the love in one of our pre shoot or engagement shoot. The couple got married in Harwich Essex waterfront venue that is a modern look building with great beach front location.
A corn field, a tree line or even a city skyline make a great location for some lovely couple shoots.

Subtle photos are so romantic, just take a different perspective and you can create some beautiful images, we are focusing on the brides ring, with the sunset and soft light.
Sometimes the sun isn't out and I can use flash in a soft way to capture the moments in style.

The engagement ring. If you have seen tis type of photo before I think I was the first to do so, as ever year I think how do I do something different this wedding season.. so its wedding season and my ideas are flowing.
The brides shoes at Gosfield Hall wedding venue in Essex

November and fireworks are great fun to photograph, with Tony & Luck at Leez Priory in Essex and Suffolk Border, the couple had a first dance out side and as they started to dance the fireworks began, they wanted this as they didn't feel comfortable to have all their guest watching the whole first dance, but I thanked their plan worked well and the rest of the evening was full of fun.

Some natural light at Kesgrave hall and their windows in the stair well are fantastic, most venues have windows and I always ask the bride if she would like to sit and have a portrait if the light is good. times like this wo dramatise the light i would like a mist machine to create light rays, Ill have to check out how I can do it with out smoke alarms going off. but even with just the natural light, it'll still look amazing.

Copdock Hall has some great places to shoot, the vine yard at the venue is a great place to start, the barn itself has a fantastic oldy worldy look to it and the make a great setting, for anytime of the year.
spring time you get the flowers blooming on the vines and autumn has some great sunsets.
if you like to stroll around in between the bushes and tree in the sunshine go here.

We also have a different side to our photography, we shoot wedding video's too. check out our other site i-video, as its also very artistic in the way we film.

Well, Finally weddings are back on, you maybe restricted and have a shorter wedding that planned, but you will still have an awesome day, with some loverly photos.
We will miss having extra friends and family to your wedding day, but you can show off your wedding photos.
This photo was just after our 3rd lockdown in April at Hylands House Wedding venue in Chelmsford Essex.

Summer sun and sunset wedding photography and then the next day is rains like it never rained before.
The British summer is hit and miss, but we can get awesome sunsets or unbelievable rain shot.
This was the fields of Hanbury Manor wedding venue.
